Recent clean tech atelier: “Clean tech meets the next economy”
On the 6th of October, “Clean tech meets the next economy” took place at Bluecity. The event was organized in collaboration with TEDxRotterdam.
Prof Jan Rotmans spoke about the Roadmap next economy and the transition challenges for the region. Fred van Beuningen, spoke about the current state of clean tech.
Furthermore, 5 innovators pitched their companies. The technologies from Rainmaker Worldwide (producing water from air), Airlite (pollution scrubbing paint) and PHYSEE (solar power from transparant windows) inspired the audience. Moreover, a professor at the Hogeschool Rotterdam, Ron Ainsburry, explained us about the shifts and new models in education to stimulate entrepreneurship and thus innovation.
After the talks, there was an opportunity to have some drinks together. Many people were interested in the technologies from the innovators. We hope that many new connection were made!
