Starting entrepreneurs in The Hague and Rotterdam with a (potential) idea for the Next Economy can battle on the 7th of July at the Next Economy Access Point in Westland. In two selection rounds and a final pitch event the jury and professionals will determine who has the best pitch and the most interesting idea of the Metropolitan area of Rotterdam and The Hague.

Technological developments change the economic landscape. Changes in for instance productions processes, energy and transportation will lead to a ‘Next Economy’. Entrepreneurs with ideas to increase productivity in data, energy, mobility and excipients are very important for this Next Economy. We therefore invite all entrepreneurs who see possibilities in these changes – the so-called Next Entrepreneurs – to join this pitching competition.

Initiator Metropolitan Start-up Lab (MSL) is a collaboration between the Metropoolregio Rotterdam Den Haag and tech incubator YES!Delft. MSL invented this competition for people with ideas and early stage start-ups in the field of the Next Economy, to give their ideas an extra push. MSL is in search of participants with (detailed) ideas, people about to launch their start-up, or people in search of their first launching customers.

MSL offers the best ideas networking lunches with Jannewietske de Vries, the director of the Floriade 2022, Leendert Bikker, executive director World Expo Rotterdam 2025 and the CFO of KPN Jan Kees de Jager, a financial reward, and a four month membership of the RDM Makerspace where you can design your own prototype. The participants also get ACCESS to a relevant and interesting network. These prize can boost the development of the ideas for the Next Economy.
