During this mission you have the opportunity to take an online meeting to the next level and learn how to take concrete steps on the North American market. The mission gives insight into the cleantech ecosystem in the Boston region. Moreover, it provides one-to-one meetings with mentors and key figures in the local network, depending on your wishes and interests in the Boston cleantech ecosystem.
Why Boston?
Boston is a frontrunner in the US in the field of climate change solutions and lowering CO2 emissions. Four years ago the city has been declared the most energy-efficient city of the US and in 2018 it has won the Bloomberg American Cities Climate Change award. Boston and the state Massachusetts are dedicated to implement innovative solutions in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This means there are plenty of cleantech opportunities in the Boston area.
Eligibility
The innovation mission focuses on scale-ups with innovative technological solutions in the cleantech area, such as mobility/transport, energy storage, electricity production, grid management, built environment and sustainable cities. The Boston mission is especially relevant for founders, R&D managers, CTOs, CEOs and business development managers of interested scale-ups. In order to participate your scale-up has to meet the following requirements:
- Already proven market acceptation of a product or service on the Dutch or European market;
- Already started or ready for international scale up to the US;
- Team: management with proven business experience;
- Already secured funding;
- High-standard technological innovative product or service, potentially disruptive;
- Looking for partners for collaboration;
- A demonstrable reason to go to Boston;
