Johan Sanders is emeritus professor Bio based Research at Wageningen University. By researching developments in the field of Bio-economy, small-scale biorefineries, small-scale production of commodity chemicals, sustainability and fermentation technologies, he creates a bridge between bio based and chemicals.

Ton is educated as a chemical engineer and has international experieces as a manager in the chemical industry at Dow Chemical and Teijin in Japan. He will give some insights in predictions versus reality and the sustainability value of biobased.

As an engineer from Eindhoven, Arij van Berkel was responsible for Innovation & Chemicals at TNO and he recently became Research Director at Lux Research. Arij  worked long at the intersection of chemistry and bio based and will give us insight about opportunities for bio based, also from the perspective of the city.
