The third session focuses on Urban Planning. In this session, we dive into the future of our cities and villages and discover how people will live together. After this session you know all about planning for neighbourhoods, mobility, and the importance of creating a feeling of safety.

Speakers

TNO’s senior researcher Adriaan Slob will discuss the challenges of our cities and argue that a bottom-up approach is a key part of the solution. Based on his experience in the Horizon 2020 DEEDS and ATELIER projects he provides insight in this topic from a birds-eye perspective and through real life examples.

Engineering company Witteveen+Bos will talk us through their vision on building with nature. Harro Wieringa, a senior landscape architect, will share how our cities can be integrated with and protected by nature. With his 15 years of experience in various international and national projects Harro is able to provide interesting insights into the mutual benefits for both cities and nature.

From an advisory perspective on the mobility transition in the context of urban planning, Willem Snel from EnMorgen will share his vision on the intersection between urban planning and new mobility based on his project-based experience.
