Geneva, Brussels & Rotterdam November 19, 2015 – The 2015 Cleantech Summit Rotterdam showcased the 40 most promising Cleantech companies from an investment perspective currently operating in Europe.

Companies were selected by a Selection Committee of leading investors whose role is to wade through the hundreds of applications to find the companies that represent the best investment opportunities. These companies have been invited to attend the 2015 Cleantech Summit in Rotterdam on November 18-19 and present to 70+ leading European investors. The Cleantech Summit were welcomed by Jules Kortenhorst, CEO of the Rocky Mountain Institute, who gave a keynote. The Summit has a successful track record, in the previous 4 editions of the event entrepreneurs have successfully raised over €800M.

Analysis of Growth Companies

The Growth companies span the following 4 sectors: Smart Manufacturing with new Materials & Data; Transformation in Automotive and Mobility; Transformation of Energy Generation, Storage & Production and finally People Climate & the Environment. The most popular sector this year is People, Climate & the Environment with 42% of companiesfalling into this category. Selected companies come from 13 different countries with the largest representation (37%) coming from the Netherlands, 20% from France and 10% each from the UK and Germany. With reference to company stages there are 25 Growth stage, 12 Start-up and 3 Seed stage.
