On july the 7th the city of Rotterdam and Clean Tech Delta got  the opportunity to hold an event during the weekly meet-up of Venture Café. Venture Café,  affiliated  with the prestigious Cambridge  Innovation Centre from Bosten US, is becoming one of the major platform for the start-ups community in the Netherlands.

Therefore there was no better stage than Venture Café to kickstart Start-Up in this region.
The turn-up was considerable. More than 50 people, mostly startups, came to hear about the program. The event started with a brief outline of the Start-Up program. Followed by a panel discussion about buyer-supplier relationship between corporates and start-ups. Raimon Voerman from the Sweco Corporation give his view about working with a innovative company.  Fred van het Nederend from Greenclouds and Jeroen van Heiningen van Goodfuels, both start-ups, shared  their experiences followed by recommendation to increase your succesrate.

Afterwards we got the meet and chat with several interested start-ups. In addition we came into contact with several corporates who have express an interest in the meet the buyer events.

During this summer we will visit incubator facilities and local innovation hubs to further promote scale-up. Additionally we will be meeting with several corporates and potential participants for one of the meet the buyer events.
This fall we will be hosting our first events. More information will be posted as soon as possible.
